Hello

I'm planning on applying for SAAF selection 2016, I've been keeping an eye out for adverts in the Rapport and I haven't seen the advert or application forms yet. The application form on this site is also for the 2015 selection. Does anyone have any idea when and if the application form for 2016 will be available and when the closing date for applications are?

Also, I'd like to get your opinion on what my chances of selection are considering the following:
I'm a white male, 23 yo. I'm about to finish a B.Sc IT degree at the University of the Free state with physics major and mathematics minor. I plan on doing Hon Computer Science in 2016. Until about 2 years ago I used to be a gymnast and I am still in relatively good physical shape and health (my cholesterol might be a bit high though). I have no flying experience other than flight sims and other flying games on the computer. If you have any other questions, I'll be happy to answer them.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

If these forms are out of date, you can still use them, just indicate in your cover letter that you are applying for the next selection course.

To give some advice.
Don't stress too much about waiting for advertisements, or the dates on the forms you have access to.

Fill in what you have to the best of you're ability, fax it, and follow up with phone calls to unsure they received it.
Ask them when you will hear from them again.
If the date passes, phone again.

The real part is the actual selection. The paperwork you send in is of interest, but not nearly as important as your results on your selection.

No one can tell you what your chances are of getting in.
I you want it, start the process and don't lose hope.
