Actually they probably won't take people who already have a CPL anyway.
The military generally has a preference for "blank slates".

I had a CPL before joining the SAAF, it posed no problem!

I went to selection in July and my cool down period ends now! I submitted my appliction and have recieved the sms saying my application has been accepted and I called to say I would be able to come and they said it could be in the next week or so! But I then spoke to a "recruiter" and she said it only in April! not sure what the deal is but I do know applications are still being accepted.

Good luck guys! post any further info on dates! trick for the headquaters is phone phone and phone again!

I also got the sms. Didn't ask when selections are though. I'll pester them a bit tomorrow

hey gripen, did you go to selections yet

Nope, they started on Monday I believe. I chose to prepare for my instructors rating test instead of going up north. Good thing too, 'cause I passed \:D/
I might re-apply for the SAAF at a later stage.
