Hi,

If you've got any original SAAF flight suit patches from any squadron that you're willing to donate of sell, please let me know. I'm trying to put a collection together but these items seem to be very hard to find.

Cheers

Put me on the list.

On Tuesday when I was at the (FASH) flying club for dinner, I saw a guy there with a Royal Nederlands Airforce patch. It also said "F-16" at the bottom. My dad says he thinks that the guy's South African though, so it's probably just collectors stuff.

But yeah, I'm looking to make a collection of patches.

I do have a spare used 19 Sqn badge to swop.

It is still in good condition just the colours are faded from being washed. It was used on the Border.

I would put a photo of it here but have not managed to do so

Anyone who wants a photo, please just send me a pm containing your email and I will send it to you.

I'd love to swop, but all I have is a Gripen hat and badge, and a Berlin cap and Hamburg badge. All are pretty much new (Gripen cap and badge I got in '06 at their release). But yeah, I don't have anything to swop.

Motto is By Night / By Day

24 Sqn was a bomber Sqn in WWII when motto was created.

Badge can clearly be seen on most photo's of 24 Sqn Bostons A-20 and Marauder B-26

24 Sqn was part of the Western Desert Air Force and then moved on to Italy.

Flew Marylands, then Bostons and finally Marauders B-26

I have a pilots log book from this era a Lt E.L Baylis and my uncle served as ground crew from the begining of the war to the end first with 14 then 24. later one of my cousins was a Navigator in 24 Sqn on Buccaneers.
