About an hour ago I passed a convoy on the N12 between Hopetown and Strydenburg. Four G6 on transporters, a Command Ratel, another Ratel type I could not recognise in the few seconds I saw it, and a few Samil trucks. Given the route (N12 rather than N1) I presume they are from Potchefstroom. |

Visited the Fan Park this morning. SAAF static display a little disappointing, the only hardware being an Agusta A109 and a SAAF Museum Alo III. There were also displays by the SAAF Museum, Survival Section, etc. Flying included a six-ship heli flypast (Oryx, 2 x A109, 2 X Super Lynx, Rooivalk) and a low-cloud display by the Silver Falcons. Cannot upload photos due to the pin in my CF card reader breaking. |

Any ideas what the best route to night shoot in Muizies would be, and at what time should I leave Brackenfell to not get stuck in traffick? Taking my old man with 25 yrs service as a surprise. He has no clue what he is in for tomorrow evening!!! I am super stoked to see his reaction. He has been a civvie for about 25 years now .... it will be "Legen ... wait for it ... dary!!!!!!!" |

I'd get there early, certainly by mid-afternoon. |
