It's just normal "thread drift" - nothing sinister.
There isn't anything more to say specifically about Ratels in Libya so the topic quite naturally moved over to other weapons seen in Libya and from there moved (again naturally) to the differences between FN FALs made in SA and other countries. It's a perfectly normal way conversations develop and branch off into different topics.

Actually on topic. The ratels that SA sold. Who supply's the spare parts and tech support. Us or can any other countries manufacture parts for them. And do you think libay will keep it's ratels or return them to who ever loaned them out.

Found another photo of them, this time together during a military parade for Libya's new army. Looks like they have been cleaned up a bit and their turrents removed.

Is that a 14.45mm machine gun. And how many do they have. Looks like the will keep them I wonder for what role though.

So far it seems like only 2 maybe 3.
