Hello everyone
I am doing some research for a future Wikipedia page on the post of Sergeant Major of the Army
Can anyone help me with
1) details of how the role came into being? (if you can point me in the direction of a book or similar reference that would be great)
2) Names of past Sergeant Majors of the Army
So far I have
Charles Laubscher 2012 to date
Mothusi Kgaladi 2007 to 2011
EW Sykes - dates unknown to 2011
JJ Moorcroft - dates unknown
GA Erasmus - dates unknown
