Love those Mirages :smt055 . Building the Italeri / Kinetic one. Not an easy build but will be worth the work once complete :smt023

Where's the LIKE button? Awesome shot

Been to RIAT twice and didn't get to see the F-18. One of the loudest aircraft I heard was a Marines AV-8B Harrier at the Dubai airshow - most powerful single engine aircraft of its time. Tornadoes are pretty loud too. I'm assuming an Su-22 would also be loud.

However, by far the loudest was the Vulcan which I was privileged to see at both RIATs I attended. It made an unholy screech on takeoff !!

The Mirage 2000 is a unique aircraft in its own right, however from certain angles you can see the Mirage III lines coming through. I have a few images which I will post that require a double-take just to make sure its not in fact Mirage III's.

I guess that's how RIAT goes, you need to go a couple of times to see and do everything. This year there were three F/A-18 flying displays however there were no Harriers. But, there was a Spanish Harrier flying at Farnborough.

I have been watching a few RIAT Vulcan videos, truly impressive it looks and sounds like a mythic dragon.

I saw that twice, guys sleeping not the Vulcan. I don't know if it was the heat, but on the Thursday and Friday at the airshow I ended up standing next to blokes catching some serious Z's during one of the biggest air shows in the world with all there camera equipment set up doing nothing.

What do you tell friends and family about the day, great nap just so noisy?
