On Israel's 70th anniversary (19/4/2018), the IAF conducted its traditional flyover over the Israeli skies.
This year, various foreign airforces particpated (Italian, Canadian, Greek, British, Austrian and Polish air forces), as well as the Israeli Police air unit, the Israeli Fire&Rescue air unit and in addition the civilian EL AL and Arkia Israeli airlines.
I missed it by a week! But here's some videos:
Tag along with the IAF Aerobatic Team for a 360-degree look into Israel's Independence Day Flyby (Beechcraft T-6 Texan II)
Can you imagine the SAAF doing this?

Israel must have the biggest Air Force on a "per capita" basis. With no natural resources to sell, how do they fund it. Would love to know just what % is funded by the USA.

Well, being the No.1 recipient of US foreign aid helps. What the Israelis have done brilliantly is leverage all that into developing a massive tech sector. Who needs natural resources in our tech-reliant world?

Thanks Dean....some really wonderful video clips of a most comprehensive airforce.
Agreed.
Apart from the omission of historic aircraft (unless I missed them) - what about Mirage III, Kfir, A4, F4? Without them, Israel would have been in deep sh1t.
