I am soon going to start on a 1100mm wingspan Heinkel 126 Salamander for 90mm EDF unit. I had some help with the CAD as there is no way I can do such clever things LOL!

This is what it might look like.Some work to be done on the wingtips, then structural CAD can start, this is so much easier and more acurete than my oldschool way of designing planes (yea I know "welcome to the 21st century")

The shape and size of the intake to the motor/fan is super critical so I need to do some more recerch on that to get the most out of the EDF system.

Nice, what CAD is that? Difficult to learn? Can you pull fus sections etc from that?

You are now asking the guy who had to ask another guy to do that CAD as I am way to dumb to do that ! I just gave hime some 3 views and a cutaway drawring and this piece of art is what he came up with, I almost wish I could get a solid brass model like that!

I believe this remdering is now used to get the structure as a "cut view" can be taken from any place and those will then be the formers and ribs.

It will be built in very much the same way as your 337, but just fully sheeted with very light 2mm balsa. If a success I will make a mold to produce epoxy glass fuse and necells, way cheaper and faster.

I particularly like the simplicity of this design, no internal ducting to speak of and there is loads of room to install batt packs and retracts without compromizing airflow.

Ah ok, not sure it's worth the effort for me to learn CAD. I still enjoy using all my draughting tools too much

I am surprized they still make the Jet-x stuff. Must be "interesting" to get anything FF to work with those little rockets

This is Rapier, little slow burning single use rockets. Jetex was a fuel pellet in a reusable motor But you can't really get Rapier anymore these days, so everyone is moving over to EDF from 20mm to 40mm fans, which I want to get two of to build a free flight Gulfstream!

So the design of the "solid" 126 is basically done and we will lok at the structural design a bit later.
I would say it is lile a warthog, not the prettiest things arround but it kinda grows on you tha more you look at it
