Started this build a little while back for a cook up on another site. It's for rubber powered free flight and 28" wingspan. I've drawn plans from an enlarged 3 view drawing.

When I look at all the plastic builds and I look at this 337 - I am really impressed! Some serious construction work in wood - and it is probably going to fly nogal =D> =D>

I might just have to dig out that book on building wood aircraft again :D

How do you ensure that two rubber driven props run for the same time?

I'll ground run the two motors to see how many winds are needed for them to run equally and then note that for different prop length/rubber thickness combinations.

Bit more done, sanded the wing leading edge profile and set the dihedral.

Got the tailbooms and vertical stabs done today. Still need to sand the tail surfaces, but it's got too dark and cold outside! So I'll do that tomorrow.

Here's a rough dry fit of the bones. I must say, I'm quite chuffed with how it's turned out! I still need to add the wingtips, rear radiator, cabin glazing and motor peg anchor points. And then it's covering time.

I don't have a scale yet, so not sure of the weight, doesn't feel too bad so far.

That looks great !!! :smt023 Nice to see it come together frame by frame. Is that one of the "Guillo" kits. I've got an F6 Hellcat half finished - was too scared to put on the tissue paper..

Thanks. It's my own scratch built design. That Guillows Hellcat is a good flyer, you should finish it ;)
