Another master piece there sir. =D>
Painting instead of decals looks so much better, ledding me to temptation. :-k

Very good M as usual, and while I did see it at meeting, these pictures are better than my memory.
There's something about those meatballs.

Finally done.
This plane was based in Tokyo bay area. the Mitsubishi F1M was introduced into service in 1941 and was intended to be a catapulted aircraft from ships for recon purposes or gunnery spotting.
The wing is interesting, the first half of the chord is metal skinned, after that it is canvas.
I see the date stamp of this kit is 1967.

Just like with the Otaki kit, I had to open up the cowlings air intake and mg holes.
The decals did not seem old like the Otaki decals I had to work with, I preferred the Otaki decals as they would conform, these decals were quite stiff.

I'm wondering how Jack is doing on this thread?

I can't keep up with you guys with all these group builds, Russian, F-16, now early jets.

My wife asked me how many more kits I have, so I took her for a tour.
She decided to pick which one I must build next. :(

Thanks gents.

Actually Vlam, my wife made a good choice, despite rejecting the Edward Mig-21.

Antmustard, that was my first attempt with salt.
My wife asked me what went wrong with the paint, did the masking tape take of the green paint?
She likes the weathering I'm doing, not this paint chipping though.

I applied the salt to the model, and the next day there were no salt crystals, but blobs of water, salty water.
I guess the salt attracted the humidaty.

Yeah that is very neatly done, great job on the chipping.
Are you going to weather it any further?

She would look great on a small diorama.

Hi Jeffrey good looking Pete well done. :smt023
Is that the Tamiya kit.
It's good when your wife gets involved, mine sometimes does and always encourages me, don't listen to Vlamm.

I'm done weathering, mat clear coat applied. I did apply a black ink wash, wish I could get it to stick around the raised rivets.
Diorama, I would have to send it to the expert in OZ for that.

It is: http://www.saairforce.co.za/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=7438&start=30#p91904

I normally have to ask my wife what she thinks. Out of the blue she decided what I should build by looking at the box.
Just wait, when she is looking for a picture to try and paint, I will make a choice.
