Greetings chaps.

Haven't been able to do too much Herk werk (hehehe)

Have however, been gifted a set of electric motors for my project. The next step is to finish the scribing and do a bit more scratch building.

Ive decided to mount the Herk on a base as a display piece.... but I am still toying the idea of hanging it in my dadads garage for him. Its a space issue mostly I think.

Who knows what im going to do with my 48er

Back on track with this, here's a sneak peek after paint and just the final details before I can call this one done.

Stunning stuff BP!

I have done some tinkering with my Herc engines, but no real progress. Sadly just havent had time to dedicate to the build...

*sigh*

Does look good. :smt023
How come I can picture you as a little kid, running around pushing a steerable wire car?

Thanks for all the nice comments guys. Its been a very "no hassles" build so far and is an impressive kit in terms of the detail they have piled into it, if anything its sheer size has been a little intimidating. Jeff good call on the wire car, as boy who grew up in remote regions of Zim we had very little in the way of toys so had to improvise

There was an Afrikaans guy originally from SAA in my workshop working for Air Canada in Vancouver, about 50 years of age.
In 2003 AC went into bankruptcy protection and decided to close the shop. This Afrikaans guy started making wire aircraft and cars, something the locals and Asians had not seen before.

Well I finally got all the fiddly bits done and am happy to say this one is complete (damn I just realised I left the little white antennae off - oh well) My apologies for the poor pics but I dont have an SLR so do my best with an iPod (it's more forgiving on the mistakes anyway  ) Its been a fairly easy build, as I said earlier just a little intimidating with it's size and I would say it came together a lot easier than the Italeri C-130.

So here is my mid-1980's SAAF c-160, a beautiful bird and a joy to jump from.

Apologies for taking up space but as this is a SAAF transport GB I couldn't resist these few pics, my mid1980's deployment aircraft - all of which I jumped from operationally. What a great flightline!
