AZ Models is to release both the Mk.1 and the Mk.2 in 1/72. According to the decalsheet, you will be needing a Mk.2...

A bit of progress...

After finishing the dayglo Harvard I decided that both WWII Harvards should get gun ports as well. It didn't come out nearly as good as the dayglo Harvard's but it'll have to do.

A few pictures:

Applied the decals on 7037...

and did more painting on 7470. Those stripes over the fuselage is a real pain the bottom to mask!

The gun mounted on / in the cockpit was positioned off centre to the right hand side of the cockpit when looking forward from the pilot's seat and not directly in front of the pilot.

Hi Geoff!

It is a offset to the right but maybe a bit skew and to close to the centre. I'll measure it next time to be sure!

Fill it, sand it, and start again; no half-measures

It's off-centre, so I don't think anyone will mind too much ^^

It looks good Nico. :smt023 If you look at page 7, the 2nd photo on my build of the Harvard (Group Build- WWII - Korea) you will see the reference photo I used. Hey AT6C, from what angle did you look? It looks quite off centre to me. #-o

Looking at the head on photo the bump must move more to the left hand side of the picture.
The gun was mounted inside the cockpit on the right hand side of the instrument panel, remembering the fact that Harvards of that era also had the radio aerial situated in front of the cockpit.
