very nice, let me know when you are not going to enter a 1/24 into a MOY...then I will take the tiffi

You first need to make a start on yours....

About to say, looks like this will be ready for 2018 MOY.

Whats quite clever about this model, is that there will be no space for any other models on the table, or at the very least it will hide a few models under the wings.

That cockpit is excellent Malcolm! The instruments are a lovely bonus. I agree with you about the seat belts - in 1:24th I think some HGW fabric belts may do the trick. Look forward to seeing more of this...

Same here, it's shouting at me. With my time for building, about a year.

So then, the engine in progress. Base coat solver :

Thensome hairspray, followed by very dark grey paint :

Followed by rigorous application water and toothbrush to simulate chipping :

All done with the exception of some electrical harnesses which I'll add later - the kit engine is very nice with all the major plumbing well replicated. The fit of everything is great but follow the instructions closely when locating the hoses :

Just needs an overall coat of satin varnish. weathering done with brown and light grey enamel washes over acrylic varnish base.

The empty bomb bar. The front section holds the 20mm canon breeches and the rear the fuel tanks and 500b bomb shackles :

Tanks in place :

Bomb shackles - suitably busy and should look great when painted :

Added some fictitious wiring / hoses to the bomb bay :

Not much can be seen but does make the otherwise bland forward section look a little more interesting :

Decided to dress up the plain main gear bays. They were quite bare in reality so I only added the distinct hose and two hydraulic lines as well as scratch built two reservoirs :

Not sure if Mayzies has them but here in Selby there is a plastic place called Plastic land. They make up costom units, or has plastic clear "boxes" that can be stacked made form perspex. You could sub devide them internally to take a few models and build up a case as you go allong, that way it will not be so costly at one time to eat into your "model after market bling" budget

Thanks Drifter. Slowly whittling away at this one. Main gear bays. Unfortunately one has to glue the main u/c legs in place before gluing the two nacelle halves together. Luckily the legs articulate and can be strapped back to prevent damage :

Wheels are Barracuda cast resin pieces. Large and heavy

Here's some more progress. Have installed one detailed engine in the port nacelle. Other side will be closed up :

Photos of various Mozzie engines on the web show large variations in engine block and ancillaries colours - so some artistic licence used here. Most of the major pipes / hoses are provided in the kit. I added some smaller hoses / cabling using stretched sprue and solder wire, strapped up with thin sections of Tamiya tape.

And the props - blades black with chipping from Tamiya X-16 using a sponge. Prop hub X-16 with a wash. Spinners weathered with HB pencil :
