Morning all.

Hope everyone is doing well.

I have been itching to start this since I got it years ago. Our club is busy with a group build so this fell in that category. Nice excuse to start it.

I have some aftermarket bits for this. Only problem is I can't make head or tail of the instructions. If anyone have any idea, please feel free to send me a message.

Made a start on the interior.

Some Eduard PE. Only have Part 1 of a 3 part set. But should be enough to tart up the inside. Not that its needed as the detail on this kit is amazing.

I remember building the Airfix or Matchbox version, still have the mortal remains in my garage (along with all my other models that somehow do not survive moves).

Some painting done.

Pre Shaded a bit with black to add some depth.

Used Tamiya XF-4 Yellow Green and added some black to get Zinc Chromate Green.

The I mixed the colour for the Bronze Green.

Post shaded with some white added to the base colours.

Detail painting with Revell Aqua Black thinned with some water. Great paint for brushing. Also highlighted some high spots. Drybrushing and washes to follow.

Hi Theuns.

I have build the IL-2 and I found that the fit was amazing. In some places so good that I couldn't even get the Tamiya Extra Thin in there to glue the parts.

I've built a couple of Accurate Miniature models. The Avenger was great :D . The A-36 was also a really nice little kit. They were very good for their time and still are. A number have been re-released by others like the Italeri Dauntless and Academy B-25.

Good morning all.

Been a busy and interesting couple of months. Unfortunately haven't had a lot of time to built and also we sold our house so no modelling space at the moment.

I thought i will share some pics of where this build is at the moment.

Hope you all enjoy.

Fitted the cockpit components together.

All buttoned up and masked. Fit is very good and didnt need any putty. Just a light sanding.

Welcome back AntMustard, hopefully you'll get time and space to continue with the build soon.
