I wanted to try doing a waterscape and built a cheap 1973 MB walrus. The water still needs the bow wave and spray. I didnt do allot of effort on the model itself, just want to learn a new skill.

The water is crumpled tinfoil painted with dark and lighter blues to look like the Irish sea.

That looks very realistic :smt023 . And the old Matchbox Walrus doesn't look bad for a 40 year old kit :D

So I didnt 100% succeed in my experiment but learning take time.
The modgpodge , even the gloss will not dry totally clear if you put it on to thick like on some of the waves.
The turbulance behind the craft is to "solid and not like sparay atall. I also tried to make it less solid by adding some blue....that just made it worse.
Maybe in 1/300 for a ship it will give a nice bow wave effect.

Next time I will build it up slower to get more of a translucent effect.

I am not going to spend more time making the model complete, was just an experiment :)
