So after 20 odd years of not building aircraft, I purchased an Italeri AC-130 A at a good price.

I was going to buy a Shackleton but the shop only had MK2's.

I usually build 1/24 Model Cars but looking forward to something different.

Any model aircraft building tips are welcome :)

Cool, just have fun!

What scale? Whatever it is, it'll be a big boy.

Tips? Once you've super detailed the engine, don't forget there are three more ...

1/72 Scale and yes its big already at that scale but I like the models bigger. Atleast my shaky hands have a fighting chance with parts.

That's a big bird, but to be honest, not the best choice to try aircraft. It has many challenges as far as fit is concerned. A bit of patience and you will pull it off. Post pics on your progress.

Yes, please post pics. That's an early AC-130 used in the Vietnam War. Note the three bladed props. My all time favorite cargo aerie :D :smt023
