Small update.

Added two internal cartridge ejection chutes using Evergreen H beam. I used the H beam because the hobby shop was out of square tubing at the time. The H beam worked well, I subsequently squared them off and painted them.

Here I have glued in the top gun fairing, firewall and horizontal stabiliser.

The gun fairing(?) needs a bit of work to fit correctly. After looking at Theunis's build I realised that the machine guns fit through the fairing, so I built up the center section. Added a hood across the panel section with sheet styrene.
Whilst dry fitting the guns I further realised that the guns sit too far back. The muzzle's are right up close to the propeller. . Its a easy fix and actually helps with correcting the fairing.

I glued in the firewall as well as the engine crankshaft. The kit gives the option to have a rotating engine, I opted to fix the engine in place to keep things simple for construction.
Vents were added for cartridge ejection chutes, again using Evergreen H-beam. There seems to be a few vent variations between Camels.

RNAS Camel's used the 150HP BR1 Bentley engine. Must say its a a very beautiful piece of engineering.

Started working on the engine. I scratch built the induction tubes using using binding wire from the hardware store to correct the kit part.

Engine painted, weathered and fitted.

Sprayed with Tamiya AS-12 bare-metal silver. Weather with Tamiya grey panel accent and a light Mig dark brown oil wash.

In retrospect I should have weathered the firewall as well.

Found reference on the cockpit decking. The Wing Nut plans illustrates the differences.

The decking was modified in the field.
