I am about to start with a 1/72 scale conversion for the Wasp (working from 1/72 Airfix Scout) and was curious about the load-out. If I recall the Wasp on display at the SAAF museum had what appears to be a Mk11 Depth charge and a Mk44 torpedo. Was that an operational configuration, or is it just used for museum display purposes?

I open to correction, but think it was one or the other.

Eugene mention once that it really struggled with power when lifting two torpedoes, could do it under perfect circumstances.

The parts look great! I've steered away from making a resin set like this, due to the fragile parts.
I believe there's a 1/72 injection molded kit that will be released in the near future.

Slightly off topic ,but the Royal Navy done trials with a WE177 Tactical Nuclear device underslung from a Wasp ,I wouldn't have fancied that mission !!
