aha , I thank you :smt023

Malcom ,what paint you going to put on? I wouldnt mind building the R Navy one with tail fold but wit all the lumps and bumps , antennas ect I think having to try goss over matt paint might give hassles, atleast the Danish one can be all over gloss blue.

Thanks all for the input gents :smt023 Still no pics of the gun operator's seat ? Also, no pics of folded blades ? I'll go folded to save space and add some interest.

Overall dark sea grey. Either Humbrol gloss or Tamiya, taken to a final satin finish.

Not sure what your concern on gloss over matt is ? I'd assume the overall finish would be consistent ?

granted this is a model but I think a MK88 would fold sta same as a SAAF one
The geometry should be that same.

I didnt want to use matt paint and then have to try get it gloss for decals with all the "stuff" in the way, sanding would be a nightmare so if there is a gloss enamel out the bottle that is right I will go for that

Theuns, I would assume the blade fold is standard between Lynxes fitted with the BERP blades and therefore the kit pieces are good to go. However, I'd still like to see a pic of a SAAF Lynx with folded blades.

Why sand ? Use some 8000 grit micro mesh cloth and then cover with some nice coats of Tamiya X-22 acrylic gloss thinned with Tamiya thinners.

Yes but with all the areils, lumps and bumps sanding will be tricky to do without damage.

Use Tamiya pints - much finer than Humbrol Matt. Add 50% X-22 gloss varnish to the mix.

OK, so got a bit of work done after a long weekend away. Painted all the bits and pieces which make up the cockpit and cabin. Reasonable detail OOB :

Colours based on part detail I could find on the net

Nice Malcom, how did the cabin fit the fuselage, any hassles or filling needed?

Theuns, no issues. What you see is a dry fit. Maybe some filler on the cabin roof section but nothing major.
