Good day from New Zealand. Ex-pat Saffer from Cape Town, living in Wellington and a newcomer to the forum and first posting. I am an avid military aircraft modeller and totally into SAAF aircraft

This is my rendition of a battered, tatty and wounded SAAF Marauder - 1 72 Hasegawa kit. Hopefully meets or gets near the high quality of builds I have seen on the forum

Thanks everyone, appreciate the comments. I really enjoyed the build, inspired by photo's found in the "The SAAF at War" book, a great source for photo's and history of the SAAF

Yesterday I got my long awaited 1/48 MPM JAS-39D Gripen - kit is essentially the Italeri mould but has lots of lovely resin, metal landing gear and etch parts. Will post pic of contents over the next day or so

I believe the Hasegwa kit is a beaut. Are the decals kit issued?

Hi Andreou - the kit is excellent in every way. The decals are from Kits at War - a Dutch company. They work well with Micro Sol and set solutions

Hi,

Really great job of weathering and flak damage reproduction. Probably the best I have seen on an SAAF model. I have a question though. As far as I know, in all the pics I have seen and the Airfix kit the upper wing decals did not have a white circle in them only dark blue and orange center. I would like to correct the upper wing decals of my Airfix model and let Humbrol know about the error so I would appreciate it if you could scan a pic you have of the Marauder with the tricolour upper wing markings, I realise it will be a black and white pic but the three colours will show up as different shades.

Regards,
