Compliments of the season to you too Parabat .. :smt114 :smt023

I hope your christmas stocking had no fit problems, no gaps to fill & sand, and that it was filled with lots of 1/48 \:D/

Just sanding and wet 'n dry today.

Gotta love Airfix! (NOT, that's why I've sold all my other Airfix kits!)

Although my F-14A+ and work has kept me busy, I'm still continuing with this one...

Got some preshading done (I've found that a really dark preshade works well, and it doesn't matter too much if the lines aren't dead straight, esp if you're modelling a battered plane!), just need to add a few details a la Mistral's build then the painting can start!

Look forward to seeing your Can completed :D . It's an imposing aircraft when completed in 48th scale. It'll make your F-14 look medium sized... :o

Heh, heh, they're about the same size! Although the Canberra has bigger wingspan...

Ja, compared to the F-14, the Can is all wing ! The Tomcat's "lifting body" fuselage no doubt helps those skinny wings a bit..... :D

Finally, some paint on this Canberra! Nearly finished a tin of Humbrol 230.

Masking the canopy was particularly fun... Ho ho ho, you little B@s$*£d!

More work done, added the various antennae and lumps 'n bumps. Also realised that I'd stuffed up and painted the inside of the two nose windows, so ordered a replacement nose from Airfix and decided to cut the windows out rather than replace the entire nose. Will use some PVA glue (Ponal) to glue the windows in as it dries clear.

Gloss coat on, just a few fiddly bits to add after decalling (waiting for the MAV decals to dry after spraying with gloss clear)

After a lot of deliberation and contemplation, I have decided that I am not going to complete this Canberra.

I have struggled to have the necessary motivation to both build and display it, so today I have passed it on to another modeller who will appreciate and do it justice.

Hopefully the SAAF fans can forgive me for this heresy, and without giving too much away, it could be appearing reincarnated on here at some point.

And thanks once again mate. I hope to continue the brilliant work you've done so far and will display it here as a collaborative effort once done :smt023
