Hi All,

Ok Im done with the fuse all it needs now is duckting ( I got the plugs for the ducts about 80% done) Im just getting my canopy done and then its on to the wings not far now! I cant find anything that will vacum mold for the clear canopy so i used Coke bottles and heat shrinked it to shape on my plug :)

Sorry Ive been a bit slack on my build pics!

Ive also added a pic of my 70mm test foamie its there to play with the CG and weight. Ive had it weighing 2 Kgs with all the bateries lol but still flys like a trainer I love that little foamie its awesome. Normal flying weight is only 1.4 Kgs :)

Oh and Ive been workin on the nose gear as well that is now ready to get finished.

Thanks all

Oscar

Hi Oscar,

Looking really awesome. =D>
Just a comment on the tip of the nose, it appears too round. Here is a pic of the nose. It does have a round tip, but is no bigger than one inch in diameter on the full size Cheetah D.

Sorry for the comments, but I love what you are doing, and I would like to see her look her best. :smt023

Cheers

Hey John,

Yeah Its just realy difficult to get sharp tips like that on your plugs they always break :( I can try to make it a little sharper somehow, But trust me it looks wors than it is :) cuz of the camera.

Not a problem, as I stay nearby. It will have to be the Cheetah C bays, because you've already made the wrap-around windshield, which means the main landing gear and doors should be as per the Kfir's undercarriage. The D at Swartkops has the old Mirage III bays and doors. This makes your model an Upgraded Cheetah B or D, depending on the serial number you select.

No problem Oscar. :smt023

841 is a Cheetah D, and 861 is a Cheetah B.
Old D's had the flat windscreen and standard Mirage III main undercarriage, but upgraded D's has the same main undercarriage as the Cheetah B and C. These are from the Kfir and has the main gear doors breaking up into three parts instead of two as on the Mirage III.

Cheers
John
