Local Development, not standard configuration.
I cannot recall being used operationally, if it was, it is likely to have been during 1987/88 'The last offensive' :)

Re 14 Bomb Config.
Note: We were exteremly fuel critical when operating into S and S/E Angola. The 14 bomb config would not have given us any 'legs' for distance, even with some IFR (which was also seldom used). Standard config: 4 to 6 x Mk82 type bombs, 2 x UW Drop Tanks and 2 x AAM (wingtips).

Just curious but what is the "local" part you are referring to? I'm talking the "carrying of" rather than type of pylon.

I beleive we were the only air force to carry this amount of 14 x 250kg's on F1's, based on a discussion I had when hosting a French F1CR pilot at Hoedspriut.

Any other information - please share it :!:

Dassault used that configuration not only on our Mirages prior to delivery but also on a French Mirage F1C.
