I built this for a mote who did his saaf trde test on this particular airframe. It is the old horrible heller kit and the glazing was a nightmare, I will not build this kit again, twice is more than enough.

The 20mm gun is very basic but just suppose to "almost" look like one.

I'm busy building a few Alo's at present.

So many versions of the SAAF and SAP Alo's!

The radio equipment, aerials, side steps, air filters, wire cutters, tail rotor guard support braces are just a few of the differences!

Yup, I am sure there are many faults with this build but the kit is one that tests the builder's sanity and I didnt want to push it to far.

I file down the main wheels a bit to give it the "Alo sit", lots of wheels still to go!

If you think that one is testing your patience, try a few at the same time!
I don't know why I do things like this!

If one builds a 20mm gunship version remember that the floor where the gun is mounted swings down and stays down, it can be seen on photos. The"doppie catcher" is then placed in it's place, it's not as large as the floor portion, yet it has the same curvature to keep it aerodynamically suitable with underside of the fuselage.

Luckily I'm not doing a 20mm at the moment, only a .303 Browning mounted on the long step on the port side of the fuselage.

Some Alo's have a long step on the port side while others don't, some have along step on the stbd side while others don't.
There are so many variations!

Theuns, You have a nice flush portion between the cockpit and the fuselage.

Did you sand some part down?
