Hi All

I saw a post on FB about an airshow happening later this year at Langebaan. Does anyone have any more details regarding it? Full SAAF airshow or just Silver Falcons and commercial/private aircraft?

Thanks in advance :)

From the little I know, the airshow will be held on 8/9th December (always subject to change!), whilst the Silver Falcon anniversary will be a private function.

This one will be a real treat as the last Langebaanweg airshow was in the mid 90's around the time the Cheetah C entered service.

R90 is a bit steep..Langebaanweg is also far out of Cape Town..124km for people to travel..guess you guys are hungry for an..airshow..so guess worth it..but even if I was in cape town still not cheap to go there.I hope you get good stuff to see that its worth it..will the Gripen be there?C-130?

My accomodation have been booked 2 months ago already. And 124km is not far, as I understand they really going to a lot of effort and although it can change as always with airshows, I understand the Gripen and hawk will be their.

The date on the poster has been "smudged" so much that it could be a 3, 5 or 9.... #-o #-o #-o

The date in the "fine print" is clearly visible as the 9th!

Any foreign participation that'll make the R90 worthwhile?

Yes, but that does not excuse the design error.

Tickets are now available at Computicket.

The website is also up and running: http://www.langebaanwegairshow.co.za/

Thats a really good website, kudos to whoever built it. Perhaps get the SANDF to hire them to sort out their websites.
