They should really think of creating a wild weasel / sparkvark inspired aircraft for the SAAF. The MB326 is actually perfect for this.

I'm not convinced that the Gripen can fly low and fast in the SAAF.

I believe the Gripen D is more than capable of doing that job, given suitable baubles to dangle under the belly and wings. Anti-radiation versions of Mokopa and Al Tariq/Umbani should be fairly simple to put together, even Paveway will be more than adequate.
