On google maps I can see a few Mirage bodies lying in what looks like a military bone yard.
There is 5 frames, there is also two helicopter frames and what looks like an impala body.
Does any one know if it is Mirage 3 bodies and if they were used for spares?
It is just north west of the DOD Main ordinance depot at Denel land systems in Lyttelton.

Can't find what you're referring to but I think there's a Dak fuselage and two wings at Snake Valley.

Hi Batman

The air-frames are used a props for a paint ball range adjacent to the Vektor shooting club.

Looks like there are 5X cheetah's, 3X Puma's, 1X Impala.

Hi Mistral

you would need to contact the club.

Quote:
Please note that this is a private shooting range, and the facilities are only available to club members. Visitors are welcome on club days, but must be arranged with club management beforehand.

Did the private club pay the full scrap price for all those vehicles and aircraft or have they benefitted from state (taxpayer) owned assets?

Looks to me like they are being kept 'in storage'...

Agreed, Jolly Roger that's probably how they get around it. Denel property on Denel land being kept in open storage, that so happens to be in the way of paint balls.
