Just 2 spelling errors: C-47T should be TP, C2212 should be C212. Otherwise streets ahead of af.mil.za

Awesome! \:D/
Wondering why they're aiming to break the sound barrier? Because it's not near a residential area??

Interesting that more Gripens were made available than Hawks...it's usually the other way round. =D>

More likely reason because it's Air Force airspace. That sonic boom can still ring all the way to surrounding residential areas. In 2008 it was heard all the way to Tyger Valley shopping centre, from Ysterplaat.
And it was apparently not easy getting permission to do it.

Cape Town is full of tree huggers..there will always be complaints..I remember in 2008 from the lighting..many complaints from SPCA and many dog owners..at least it will be not close to Langebaan town..Langebaan AFB is a training facility so to my knowledge they dont need permissions..

The highlights for this Air Show.

The Rooivalk has been confirmed and will be shooting flares as well.
The Gripen is set to go supersonic at a safe altitude.
Mass flypast formation by the Pilatus PC-7 MkII.
About 60 aircraft will be performing.
And much much more...

Tickets at Computicket, the kiosk in Shoprite / Checkers and at the gate on the day.
