Chances of it landing in the Vaal Dam are pretty remote. Generaly, only the coastal Oryx have inflatable floats fitted.

As far as I know the Oryxes with flotation gear are a different model, the M1. In addition to the flotation gear they have folding blades, maritime radios and a few other additions useful for maritime ops. The base Oryx, as used inland, would thus probably have been slightly cheaper to build.

Is the Caravan (3003) flying recce? I don't see an Argos 410-Z fitted in the picture but they could have fitted it to the right side. It's much more interesting if they've tied in that capability!
