You are welcome to attend our June Shackleton ground run on Saturday 28 June.

Access to the hardstand is via AFB Ysterplaat Movements control which is opposite the Museum. We open to the public from 09h00, there is a museum kiosk in the movements building with memorabilia for sale. The aircraft will start turning the engines at 10h00.

The ground run will be in memory of one of our pioneer founders of the Friends of the SAAF Museum, the Late Mr. Alan Wienburg.

Is this just for adults or can children also attend? If so is there an age limit?

I saw some kids there when I was there.
It can get very noisy, may I suggest earmuffs or earplugs to make it comfortable.
I did not need them, I'm a tough male that has lost half his hearing.

Whilst on the 20 year anniversary .... Roger, can you possibly fix this date on this .... the souce data is correct, but the date was obviously captured wrongly in the wiki article.
