Hi Dean well done on the book launch, it is certainly a big deal (I've tried to get published with no success) and can't wait to order a copy.

Excellent launch Dean, congratulations! The introduction was excellent, you spoke well and the venue was perfect. Few can ask for a better follow-up than Harvards, Alouettes, a Puma & that gorgeous Vampire amongst others!

I'm looking forward to reading the book, my first impression from skimming through the first few pages is that it looks great with a ton of interesting material. This was an important book to write, thanks for putting in the effort.

I agree - a wonderful book launch. Even that noisy (noisy!) Kudu that roared past in the middle, drowning out a few of Dean's words, was entirely appropriate. I was particularly impressed by the presence of General Earp. He must be getting on now, and yet he spoke with great candour and lucidity, striking a chord with the audience on the value of "writing it down - and passing it on". I see that quite a few of us forum-ites were there; pity we missed out on a meet and greet of sorts. Thankfully, though, I did meet Dean! I have been reading the site on-and-off since about, I think, 1996 (it was a Geocities address then!) - and yet I'd never met the man himself. He was taller than I expected...

Speaking of Dean, well, what can I say? The product of a lifetime's interest in aviation, making sure that not only the story tellers pass on their history, but the narrator/editor too! Here's to the next book!
