One of the many mistakes in the book is the name Cirecooks. Cooks was MES (Eric) Robinson's girlfriends nickname and Cire is backward for Eric so Eric became CIRE + COOKS his girlfriends nickname. No horse involved here !!!
It always pays to visit the SANDF Archives and do primary research yourself. This will eliminate mistakes like this that later get quoted and become a fact.
