Jeez Paul, this is going to be a tough one !!!!

I've been through ever scrap of info that I have, & can't add any serials to the list ..

The hunt will continue ..

(I'm hoping Doug will uncover another lost trommel ...or two)

Greetings all, compliments of the season to you all.

I have started a new website dedicated to all de Havilland aircraft in South Africa www.dehavilland.co.za

Any contributions will be most welcome.

Also of interest to de Havilland enthusiasts is the fact that David Watkins is working on his second book on the DH Vampire.

He is looking for any information, photographs, stories etc on SAAF Vampires. David may be e-mailed at [email protected]

Doug, David asks the following... "Do you possibly think that "Doug" would have a better scan of 'AX-F' with the squadron badge?"

Wishing you all the very best for 2012

Kind regards
Jaws

Hi John...sorry - I suspect no better scan possible as it was a tiny magazine pic of a couple of inches in the old money.

I came across a scrap of newspaper which even pre-dates me. Sunday Times 12th Feb 1950 which has article on delivery of Vampire to Brooklyn, Cape. Looks like it's serial 202, but newspaper page is in very poor condition.
