Hi,

Here is a picture of my Grandfather A/CPL Isaac Daniel Lotter 15135V. He joined the SAAF on 1 January 1940 and was discharged on 18 October 1945. He trained as a Wireless Operator. After a tour in East Africa and after being treated for hysteria he worked in the refuelling division. I assume as his mustering says he was a "refueller". In 1943 he was brought back to strength his service card says and was posted to 23 Air School and then served in 223 Squadron which became 30 Squadron.

He was also mentioned in dispatches in the January 1946 London Gazette page 129 for something he did in 1945 and never said anything of it to his family. With his medals he received an Oak Leave for the MID. I hope someone can please help me to find some information on this as I have downloaded all the War diaries of the units he served in and can't find any information.

Thanks and Regards
Ivan
