News24 article with (short video clip) indicates that the Tu-160 flew non-stop... probably easy-peasy especially if no offensive load

Indications are that they depart Waterkloof on Friday.

Anyone know if the Hawks were armed and how many fuel pods were attached?

Unarmed, with drop tanks.

Hope there was at least one photographer flying back seat.
