Very nice collection Dean! =D>

I am also looking for a solo droque chute to keep the tradition of when a pilot goes solo on the Harvard.
Do you perhaps know where I can obtain one?

Thanks all.

Geoff, this is the very first Harvard solo drogue I've seen, but will keep you in mind should I see another.

The official RAF nomenclature is: "Lining, kapok quilted, 1941 pattern"

It is a one-piece liner worn beneath the 1941 pattern Sidcot flying suit to protect aircrew from low temperatures. SAAF aircrew used these in the years immediately after WWII.

Now I just have to acquire a Sidcot flying suit ...

A g-suit has just dropped into my collection, made by the Thrustor Group. I understand that this is the first g-suit made in South Africa.

Any more info welcome!

Eros emergency smoke goggles, as used on the C-130 Hercules and Boeing 707. It is designed for use with the crew mask assembly and stored for emergency use in the cockpit. Not quite aircrew issued flight gear, but close enough, so into my collection it goes. :D

So my new resident arrived last week: Martin Baker Mk WY6A-M ejection seat from Impala Mk II 1093!

But, someone had pulled the face blind handle ...

It goes into this little slot! #-o

After an hour of folding, refolding, pushing, prodding and sore thumbs, I managed to get the handle to click back in \:D/

Now I just need to find the back pad and straps. :-k [-o<
