I'm looking for pictures of the military parade that include the ZUMLAC AAA piece from one of the Simons Town Festivals. I cant see the picture. Can someone assist with sourcing this picture?

Not sure if this is what you are looking for. Not so much 'in the parade' but on display at the Navy Festival itself - albeit under camo. March 2014. Click on pics to enlarge same.

Someone had the Samil 100 mounted system with an enclosed section for the gunner. All the pictures online have dried up. They only show the older version that was put into service.

That's the Swiss Oerlekon GDF 005 anti aircraft gun in the picture by the looks of it...

Mounted on an armoured Samil 100 - the biggest baddest technical of them all!

Hmm...an enclosed cabin..mounted on a Samil 100.

The Zumlac was always the Soviet twin 23mm mounted in an open configuration.
Your description of an "enclosed section for the gunner" makes me wonder. .

Do you mean the eGLas instead?
The eGLas was a single AA cannon system that used Denels GA-35mm cannon as found in twin configuration in the Rooikat 35mm SPAAD and on the Valour C kass frigates.
It had an enclosed cabin for the gunner and his controls and electronics.
Although it was primarily displayed in a towed configuration, something has jogged my memory where I think I saw a single picture of it mounted on a Samil.
The eGLas was from the 90's, so I agree with Dean..the year of the parade would narrow things down.

The "Varkie" was a 20mm anti-aircraft gun mounted on the back of a Samil 50 or 100. We had them in Lohatla at the time. I'm not sure if we still have it.

The Oerlikon 20mm guns are all withdrawn from service. There is a huge shed somewhere with all those guns packed away.

In relation to the item below. Do you have a picture of eGLas?
