The original MLU plans did in fact include such a gun, but we all know what happened to the economy and defence budgets since then...

Interesting "muzzle loading" a torpedo...

The frigate is imho the "proper" configuration and weapons fit - what the SAN should have got. A decent size main gun being the most obvious difference.

for MEKO the main difference for me is the 16 launchers for RBS-15 Mk.III 200km range , when valour class have 8 launchers for exocet MM40 Block 2 range 72 km

on the pic 16 RBS mk III on algerian meko

for Kilo 636M submarin , its not a torpedo , but a KLUB-s - 3m14e missile submarin version

3M-14E An inertially guided land attack variant; it is launched from a submarine. Its basic length is 6.2 m (20 ft), with a 450 kg (990 lb) warhead. Its range is 300 km (190 mi). It has a subsonic terminal speed of 0.8 mach.
