Well that answers my next question of how a medic on the ground would be able to tell that a patient is responding to the treatment ...

Don't laugh - it's a fairly common problem in places like Marion, especially this time of the year when the people are not getting much exercise and the diet is mostly tinned and frozen stuff.
Read any Maritime Medical manual - for use by ship's captain's - and you will find extraordinary amounts of space devoted to the subject. I treasure a copy of one I have from the 1970s because it has a section of recipes - back then medical science punished people who were ill by feeding them obnoxious diets - which has the nicest sago pudding recipe I have ever come across!

She's worked hard. Painting ships is a very expensive business. Having a white hull is always difficult to keep remotely nice looking as every rubber fender on every quayside tends to leave a lingering memory of its proximity.

BTW look at Nordic Explorer here and she does not look quite as pristine as Kremlin's pics show:
http://ports.co.za/news/news_2011_06_23_01.php and here she looks decidely tacky!

Good old V&A Waterfront :)

I assume this photo was taken during take off from or about to land, out of the Jet Ranger (?) window, at the Heli pads nearby?

And all this whilst chasing the A380?

Stupid question, but what the heck
.....

What are the restrictions on a ZU registered aircraft compared to a ZS registered when it comes to carrying passengers?

I'd also love the answer on this one :smt023

I believe there are some differences in maintenance requirements for a ZU aircraft, but have no idea if there are PAX restrictions :?:

ZS and ZU are both South African Registrations, ZU is used for "experimental Licenses" just to complicate the mix there is still ZT- which is also South Africa.

ZS is supposed to be for factory built and certified aircraft
ZU supposedly is for homebuilds, kits etc and non-certified aircraft which most ex-military are as they have non-certified parts, mods etc "so less red tape"

I am just curious as to what the restrictions are for carrying paying customers is on ZU aircraft as it seems to be a grey area. Thunder City aircraft were also ZU registrations.

In order to comply with Part 121 requirements, ZU-ELP is restricted to nine pax.

The world's 12th largest "super yacht" ... "Octopus", owned by the Microsoft co-founder Paul Allan, docked 12th September. Nothing like a typical cloudy & wet Cape Town day, to venture out to the waterfront :D

Another toy ... the Sikorsky S-76C. Bit of a lady and the tramp .. the rusty "Chamarel" cable ship in the background

For as long as I can remember the Clock Tower in the Waterfront has been red with white trim .. not sure when it was repainted .. but it looks like rugby fever has set in
