The Brazilian Navy Hydrographic research ship, "NHOc Cruzeiro do Sul (H-38)", seen in the V&A Waterfront on the 17th November. It's not a grey warship, but sytill an interesting one ...

Built by Longvamek Verksted in Norway as a high seas fishing vessel, named Havskjell Viking. She is operated by the Brazilian Navy since 2007.

She docked yesterday. Possibly the reason for the USN C-130 arriving :?:

This may seem a silly question (I'm a landlubber after all) but why are survey ships painted white even though they are military vessels?

Red and White is traditionally Coast Guard colours.
A Coast Guard's primary role is armed law enforcement.

I doubt she will still be here :(

From docking on the 18th, providing she stays here till after the festival, that would be around 17 days in port ..

Would be nice though, myself & the mrs haven't been on a French ship since FNS Garonne in 1997, the Navy 75th festival :D
