Simonstown Naval Harbour is really a wonderful splash of colour at present. The Varada Queen also visiting today.

Yep still there....and it appears that the Varada Queen is the tug escorting/on station with same at present. Tug sailed again late afternoon to join this vessel.

Thanks Doug - I see she is listed as an "anchor handling vessel/tug". That usually implies association with oil rigs and the like. But with all these generator breakdowns I should open a generator repair facility!

The Bay is kinda busy again...and I could not believe my eyes this morning to find the new SA Agulhas II passing by.

I wonder what the first reports of transit of the roaring forties and the furious fifties will be like. She looks like she can rock and roll like a sixties go-go girl on pot.

SA Agulhas II currently 'anchored' off on far side of the bay (Gordons Bay/Rooi-Els) with the Varada Queen if anyone wanting a photographic outing.
