Any suggestions that won't kill the bank too much?

I would love to ride in the Huey but the prices seem out of my range.

When I was last at the water front (November 2012), the helicopter tour companies had folk running around looking for potential customers around the shopping area. I showed interest, money is tight and the price started dropping significantly.
Pick a day when they are not busy, it costs money to have a helicopter standing idle on terra firma.
You may not get the lower prices at their office as you are obviously interested. I would go their office to get info, see what happens. Then go for a walk and find a rep trying to snag potential customers.

I ended up on a boat trip, 2/3 price for two adults and got my niece on for free.
My 2 cents worth.

Good advice above. There are about four companies offering flips, ranging from the R44 (cheapest) through the JetRanger and LongRanger to the Huey.

Enjoy and don't forget the pics!

Sorry to hear the weather was not good.

Did you get your Huey ride, how did the bargain hunting go?
