The Kremlins, this evening, had the pleasure of attending a book launch, held at the Chavonnes museum in the Waterfront. The book by Willem Steenkamp, Assegais, Drums & Dragoons, tells the story of the Military & Social history of the Cape.


What a fitting & stunning historical venue for the launch. Good to see the clock tower has reverted back to her old colours.

I've had a look at the Kindle version of the book on Amazon and the foreword / introduction has got my interest. Looks like a good read this and I will get it on the Kindle version. Congratulations on your contributions to this book Brent! A man of many talents, our very own Kremlin, it would appear ....

The pictures of the launch speak for what must have been a most entertaining event.

I wish Willem Steenkamp every success with this publication. Most of us have his Grens Oorlog / Border War book.
