A spectacle not to be missed ....

Even if you only do it once, and this was only our second time in many years, the annual New Year fireworks display (at midnight after the bells of Big Ben falls silent) on the Thames river in London, is stunning!

You need to be prepared though for tens of thousands of people cramming the banks of the Thames for several hundred yards on both sides of the river near the Houses of Parliament. Sound systems provide disco style music and police in good numbers keeping an eye on things makes it entertaining and safe. Also remember tolerance and a sense of humour!

Just two more of London's New Year fireworks display.

All pictures were taken with the little point-and-shoot Olympus FE-190, reason being damp and drizzle at times in central London, so the Canon stayed at home .... :(

Nevertheless .... :)
