The opening ceremony was superb! The All Blacks' performance was not quite as convincing though. Boks to do the business against Wales tomorrow!

Go Bokke! :)

Le Bleu did not impress at all this morning [-X
I thought the Jappanese performed pretty well. Clearly improving on their previous appearances against much stronger sides - they didn't simply roll over and die.

The wagon nearly lost a wheel and they were lucky to win, against some other teams all four wheels would have come off and the wagon used for tinder for the BBQ. :D

I thought that all the minnows had very good games. Hopefully there won't be a repeat of the chronic public transport failure like there was on opening night

I drove down to Dunedin for the game. An enjoyable experience since I didn't really care who won, and I hope England keep Johnny in the team, in case All Blacks or Springboks come up against England. Argentinian supporters were great - full of enthusiasm.

This was the first rugby match I've been to since a Lions / don't remember who at Ellis Park 6 or 7 years ago (Lions lost, of course.)

Dundein stadium is great - I was in seats about in line with the try line, but a good view. Lots of toilets (often a problem) but poor catering arrangements - really long queues for beer & food. And because Mastercard are sponsors, they only accepted Mastercard or cash so my VISA card stayed safe. Beer was about R45 for a can of Heineken.

We got to the car about 11p.m., no traffic problems getting away (unlike my Ellis Park experience), drove about 50 minutes out of the city for accomodation near the sea. A great outing for the family.

Nice one, I do like the stadium as well - very clever, efficient design. I am going to Canada Vs Tonga this Wednesday and possibly England Vs Scotland. I will be in Singapore for the final.

Almost the epitaph for the Bokke .... the Ossewa almost losing a wheel and Springbok meat on the Welsh BBQ .... :)

Nevermind guys, Blighty (England) and the Bokke (South Africa) both need to show big improvements. 8-[

Ha ha...but it was a close shave event! I was stunned at the tenacity of Wales.
