And wondered if any of you can shed some light on the incident/accident. Looks like old Alphonse in the left hand seat still isn't getting this landing business right ...

You guys are a pair of spoilsports! I searched Snopes, Air France's crash/incident list - found nothing! Picture would have gone down well on "Straight and Level" with a pithy Roger Bacon caption! No wonder law courts are beginning to look upon photographic evidence with grave misgivings these days.

& found the answer on a car forum "FerrariChat.com"

I have been out of the giving evidence at court with photographs / fingerprints etc for nearly a decade now.

With the old system you could back your photograph/s up with the negative on the film roll. It was also possible to doctor photo's but not to the level of photoshop.

The new system (digital) they want the orignal disc from the camera with all photo's still present, can check with friends still working for the SAPS circus if needed.

With fingerprints it is posible to place someone at a crime scene or to an object, just have to know how. The wife a Biochemist and I have a good laugh at CSI if we watch it with forensic evidence obtained and how fast they process it etc.

An involved method with which it is possible to involve an innocent party to convict is using the folien (one of the mediums used to lift prints) which the complainant signs at the scene, the protective film can be lifted and thefolien washed and reused to lift a print off a fingerprint forum or object and there you are, you were at the scene. As the complainant will swear under oath, that is their signiture on the rear at the scene and prior to the arrest of the defendent.

This method was used by a chap working at the Cape Town office until he was caught out.

Nice one guys, I guess the moral of the story is to not take anything for granted. I received an email the other day that is doing the rounds castigating and belittling the Arab crew from Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies for crashing an Airbus A340-600 it into a blast fence, meanwhile it was Airbus's own ground crew that were responsible.
