The payment page will display zero, so no need to input credit card info. Just check out as normal and then it will display a download link. You will also receive an email with the download links. One link per book.

So, prior to lockdown I did a bit of hunting in the 2nd hand book shops... Managed to find a few Dale Browns that I hadn't read, as well as a few Clive Cusslers (went off him a few years back), and a couple of great Stephen Coonts.

I struggle to read on an electronic device, it's paper between my fingers or nothing for me.

Agreed, nothing like holding pages in your hand, whether book or magazine.
