Besides 44 Para Regiment, the Special Forces Brigade and 7 Medical Battalion Group, are there any other parachute qualified units or sub-units in the SANDF?

Who are the SAAF skydivers that perform at shows?
Is any part of the Navy MRS parachute qualified?

At a guess, the SAAF skydivers are from 500 SQN.

They are drawn from all over the SAAF - The two I know - one is a Flight engineer , one works at Waterkloof fuel.

So they are not a para unit, just "random" SAAF members who happen to be skydivers.

NEW QUESTIONS

Is 18 Light Regiment (120mm mortars) still parachute qualified?
AFAIK they are no longer designated part of 44 Para Regiment.

I'm trying to update and complete a database of SANDF units.

(Once the update is completed (no deadline!) I'll make it available here as a set of Excel tables. So far <I hope!> I'm done with the Infantry Formation.)

In that case, which unit / squadron is responsible for parachute instruction and maintenance in the SAAF? I'm assuming that given the nature of air supply, that they would need to have an in-house capability in that regard.

all parachute training in theSANDF is the responsibility of44 parachute bat’strainingschool.Evenairforce parachutists will also be trained by them. Think Recces is the only exeption, they might handle their own training.
