The Snoekie Shellhole in Simon's Town had a break in last weekend and a significant amount of memorabilia was stolen.

This included quite a lot of WW I and WW II items, including the medals of Ted Freel and the brass badge of the HMS Pegasus (brass winged horse broken off brass stand - number WR 742).

Unfortunately, the MOTHS did not keep an inventory of their entire collection, but attached is a list of some of the items.
If you are offered or find any of these items, please contact the investigating officer at the Simon's Town police station on (021) 786 8640. The case number is CAS 55/6/2012.

An increasing number of museums are being broken into, so please watch out.

Thanks.

Dean

Hope the swines who stole these items get caught.
